Design Dilemma - November 2007
This Design Dilemma challenges our team to convert blah neutrals into a home with style that can be expanded upon as time goes by.

Design Dilemma
Jennifer and her family recently settled into their new home in Orange Park, after living in five different locations in the past eight years.

Jennifer was in search of a way to bring the colors of the outdoors inside to brighten the neutral color palette through out the house. Jennifer was feeling a little overwhelmed with such a large project and did not want to make a mistake. Jennifer brought this painting design dilemma to our showroom and meet with our designer Kristie. After discussing her space and identifying her needs with Kristie, they set up a complimentary home visit.

Here's What We Did
After reviewing the space and understanding Jennifer’s vision, Kristie prepared a design solution which focused on bringing the outside in with paint colors and texture. This was accomplished by bringing in a warm green tone on the walls of the kitchen to compliment the yellow used in the adjoining formal living room.

To create additional visual interest to the kitchen a faux finish was added to the underside of the bar area, to mirror the backsplash in the kitchen.

Jennifer is excited about how the paint colors transformed the appearance of the house, and is working with Kristie to build upon this to create the rooms she always dreamed of.
