Design Dilemma - August 2007
This Design Dilemma challenges our team to take a bare empty house and create a home.

Design Dilemma

Nancy and her family relocated to Jacksonville from Kentucky this spring. They were in the process of selling their house in Kentucky, and trying to get settled into their new home in Jacksonville. They brought with them the necessities; a few personal items and select furniture pieces.

Nancy visited our showroom in need of assistance to furnish her home with her style and to create a welcoming environment. She is very busy with work and wanted someone who could handle pulling it all together from paint colors to furniture.

Here's what we did...
Nancy met with one of our design consultants to review her vision for each room. We listened to her vision and created a design board for each room to show how everything would come together.

We started with painting the entire first floor.
We added a lot of interest by doing the main rooms with different techniques of paint. Each room was then finished with inviting, comfortable furniture and occasional tables, and finished off with beautiful window treatments. We incorporated their existing art work to add that personal touch. Each bedroom was designed with custom bedding to capture that personal welcoming feeling that Nancy envisioned.

The end result was a polished, welcoming new home.
