Design Dilemma
Stephen & Susan Kaye first visited Designs Of The Interior in spring of 2006. They were in the process of buying a home in Amelia Island Plantation and relocating from Connecticut. They wanted to have everything new to go with their new home. They did not want a "Florida" look, but something that reflected their own style. This was a serious Design Dilemma.
Here's what we did...
Our designer Aleighen visited their new home to understand the layout and existing pieces. Aleighen spent a great deal of time on the phone and through e-mail to help define their style and understand the look they were trying to achieve. Once she understood the Kaye's wanted elegant and inviting rooms throughout the new home that were casual and rich in design, Aleighen then prepared a design board to show the Kaye's her selections for each room for furniture, fabrics, paint colors, custom bedding and window treatments, and accessories.
 Design Board
Through the use of warm earth tones and inviting fabrics, the Kaye's were able to create a home that is warm and inviting. It reflects their own individual style and not the typical "Florida" look.
