Design Dilemma - March 2007
This Design Dilemma explores how changing a piece of furniture in a room can impact the whole space with just a touch of design planning.

Design Dilemma
Our design dilemma this month is from two sisters, Lorraine and Helen. They first visited our showroom in search of a leather sectional in a salmon color. After talking with our designer Aleighen, they realized that Designs Of The Interior was more than just a furniture store. Our professional designer and many vendor resources helped them to find the perfect sectional and recommend additional furniture pieces and accessories to complete the room.

Here's what we did...
Aleighen began the design process with a complimentary in-home consultation to gain a better understanding of the room Lorraine and Helen envisioned. During the consultation, she measured the exact dimensions of the room to ensure that the furtniture pieces would be the correct size and scale for the room.

Aleighen then developed a design board to show how the whole room would come together around the salmon leather sectional. With a custom leather sectional of the right size, color and style, we accented it with a complimenting chair and ottoman. To complete and bring it all together we added some striking artwork and lamps to achieve the look and feel Lorraine and Helen had envisioned for their room.
